Real Japanese Tip: ใใใญใใใใพใใ(onegaishimasu) is your magic word at any front desk โ attach it to almost any noun to make a polite request: ใใงใใฏใคใณใใใญใใใใพใ (check-in, please), ใฟใฏใทใผใใใญใใใใพใ (a taxi, please). Also note floors use the counter ๏ฝใใ๏ผ้๏ผ: ใใฃใใ (1st floor), ใซใใ (2nd), ใใใ (5th) โ and "what floor?" is ใชใใใ๏ผไฝ้๏ผ. One thing that surprises visitors: in Japan the ground floor is the 1st floor (ใใฃใใ), just like the US โ so ใใใ really is five flights up!
