Katakana — ウァ

ウァ pairs ウ with a small ァ to keep a "wa" sound tied to a preceding vowel glide, distinct from the plain ワ. It exists mainly to preserve foreign spelling patterns in careful transliteration and rarely shows up in everyday katakana words — most "wa" sounds are simply written with ワ instead.
