Hiragana — うぁ

うぁ combines う with a small ぁ to represent a "wa" sound that preserves a preceding vowel glide, kept distinct from native わ. It is almost always written in its katakana form ウァ for actual loanwords and brand names — the hiragana version is essentially never used in real writing.
